How it all fits together
One idea runs through the chapter: curiosity, used in a careful order, is science. Curiosity makes us ask; the scientific method makes the asking useful; and anyone who does it is a scientist.

How the ideas connect
Links worth saying aloud — this is what turns facts into understanding.
1 · Curiosity → question
Curiosity is not just a nice feeling — it is what produces the question in step 2. No curiosity, no question, no science.
2 · The jigsaw explains the method
Because science is an unending puzzle where pieces can be wrong, we must test every guess — and be ready to make a new one.
3 · The pen is the whole method in miniature
Observe (pen stops) → question (why?) → guess (ink finished) → test (check refill) → analyse (empty or not?) — and loop back with a new guess.
4 · From pens to the universe
The same method that fixes a pen is used to solve "bigger problems" and "mysteries of the universe" — learning science just makes us better at it.
